I could never get my grips to stick, i tryed all kinds of glue and once safety wire, and my grips always came off. So i found this stuff laying in the garage so i put some on and let it sit over night and it worked. My grips aint budgin. So i thought i'd let everybody else who was havin this problem know.

I've found 5-minute epoxy from anywhere to work best because it stays wet and the grips slide on with little or no effort, I let them dry over night.

Yeah i believe spraypaint is the best. Cause everyone has it laying around, and the grips just slide right on. And it only takes about 2 hours for it too dry. I did it about 2 hours b4 a race a while ago, and they never budged. That was about 3months ago, and they are still on there!!

u guys might think im crazy but if u spray sum wd 40 on it and let it sit for a day or 2 and it will work good, i think it is because wd40 gets rid of water or sumthin...

sounds like it wuld work, i guess anything that dissolve without leaving any moisture, or most good glue, i also once put some duct tape on my bars where the grips usaually go let it sit ofr a while in the sun then took the tape off and slid the grips on,,, as u most likely know duct tape leaves thick residue...as i always say

if u cant duct it Fu*k it...:devil

cover the handlebars where the grips would go with duct tape then spray hair spray on it. i did it about a month ago, and they are staying on. the tape makes it a tighter fit between the bars and the grips. worked great with my renthal bar and renthal soft grips.

i put a small hole in the end of the grip, shove my air hose in there to slide em on and presto, your done. they stick good by themselves, although my left has moved a slight bit, the twist throttle side has stayed in place. i have used the glues in the past and they work good, but when u go to replace them its a pain in the dick to scrape all the **** off.
also to remove grips use the air hose trick i mentioned above.

I have found for both atv's and mountain bikes, that the hair spray trick works good. Note: I always scuff the the handle bars to get rid of the smooth finish where the grips go. I think scuffing helps add friction and minimizes the chance of "twisting" on you.

Ya, my right grip always stays with out glue but my left is always sliding around. Ive had renthal glue, pro grip glue, scott's glue, etc. I could see the Gas thing working but not the WD 40. I'll stick with the rubber strip adhesive till it fails me then i'll try ur guys advice.

ive got some of that weather strip adheasive laying around... have to try that next time. does anybody know if it will hurt renthal grips?? because it says on the package to only use renthal grip glue maybe thats a sales pitch who knows.

i use the chainwax chain lube stuff that they sell at like every atv store around, it slides right on and becomes very very sticky so they grips stay in place, i dont know how well they work like that because i wrap them with saftey wire too..
