I am wanting to get more power out of my 400. I was wonderin what the best engine kit for me would be. The 416, 426 ect..

I feel the 416 is the way to go. It is a great mix of reliabiliy and power. I don't know if you have an exhaust yet but you will want that first. You should also look into a cam. What kind depends on how you ride. There are companys that sell the cam and piston kit for like $200 or so. Make sure you take the time to jet your carb properly after the install or you won't get the most out of it.

In the woods yes In a drag race probably not. Alot of it depends on the rider. I have a 416 and can keep up fairly well unless it is an open section. To completly destroy a 450 you are going to need some serious motor work but it can be done.

What I've got (see below) is the result of my research on this topic.

(The FMF pipe came with the bike, so I just repacked it)

Also, do NOT underestimate the importance of great suspension.

It may be more important than motor.

Thats very true. You can have all the mator in the world but if you don't have a chasis that will handle it it's point less.

What is a good website to go to find a 416 kit?

Talk to our site sponsor, Colby, at C&D Racing. He has his own forum here too.
