Does a 20x11-10 tire fit on a 10x8 rim?

No it won't. The last number is the rim diameter. A 10" tire will not fit on a 8" rim. The last number must match for it to fit.

So for example what size tire do I need

The tire has to be atleast 10 inches wide with a 8 inch rim diameter. The first number is the tires outside diameter. Most people run 18s or 20s with an 8 inch rim. An example of what would fit is a 18x11x8. First number is tires outside diameter. Second number is tires width (must be aleast as wide as the rim if not bigger). Third number is the rim diameter that the tire will fit.

10 inch. The last number is the size of the hole in the tire, also the size of the rim needed to fit it.
