Anyone please share your secrets to keeping riding gear clean even with red mud and black dirt on the tracks? I have tried everything I have heard so far and nothing works. I am trying scotch guard this coming weekend but having to scotch guard your jersey and/or pants before every ride could get costly. Thanks for any advice!!!

Don't really have any secrets....I just spray my gear off with a hose first then throw them in the washing machine ASAP. The white on my gear though still looks like I pooped my pants:(

If its really muddy, I take my stuff to the car wash first. After I do that, I just use a bunch of oxyclean mixed in with regular detergent and that seems to work ok.

Do the scotch gaurd before each ride and you will be fine. I have had really good luck with that stuff.

I got it, wrap yourself in plastic.

Ha, just use HOT pressure washer and then use some OxiClean like that one guy does or somethin tough and wash it, maybe more than once, try and get stuff that will prevent it for the next time.

I use the clorox bleach for colors, works great
