ds650 fenders on 450r

i want to know if anyone out there has ever taken the front fenders off the 450r and somehow custom made those little fenders (like on the bombardier DS650) that attach to the a arms. im just curious, i think that would be a head turner.

Kory Ellis did that about 5 years ago at a real muddy national. It did look different.

I actually have them on my outlaw. I had to custom make the brackets twice. The first time they broke. Since then they've been good. They do help keep alot of mud off you, and its a killer look...I'll find some pictures on my other computer when i get home.

No, I think they are really fugly too, but I believe that people can do whatever they want to their quad if they like it. It's not my quad so do what you want. :D

k heres some more to give you an idea. I had to cut the stock fenders that the outlaw had to get them to work. The only bad thing is i cant go up a tire size or put a spacers in..

I bought the used ds fender mounts off of ebay for cheap, and a place here in my town customized them so they would fit. I had to buy the fenders new.

Its not just something you can throw on there and hope it works.

i know there is going to some enginuity involved. You know i bet if there was a company out there that mass produced these things that actually bolt right on to specific machines, they'd be makin some money. Unless Bombardier has some kind of patent on it, which i doubt.
