I've been thinking about getting a 450r for the past couple weeks. I walked into the dealer and they told me $5100 for a new 2006 450r. I didn't get a price for the 2007 but they said it would be quite a bit more. How good of a deal is this? What are the changes from '06 to '07?

Thanks

You should go with an 2005. Ask John Natalie and Chad Weenan what year their honda 450r's are, that they will be using for the 2007 race year.

yeah youll have fun on a new 05 and save quite a bit, and to settle your initial question if you have to have the newest in an 06-07.......what color you want
05- red, black
06- red, black
07- red, white, black w/ red frame.

If you are wanting a new quad. 06-07. I would say go with the 07. Kinda worked out the starter problem on it. But, if you dont care if it's a leftover 05. Go that way and save big! There is not a huge power diff in them, and they both ride great. There HONDAS!!!!!!!!!!

Go with the 06 hands down. Basically the exact same bike as the 07, and can be had for a much cheaper price.

06 and 07 are exacltly the same, just different color options....and nothing has changed with the starter...no problems, just lack of info give to the 06 owners

I Have An 06' Kicker and i have had zero problems out of it. No E-Start To Worry About Just Kick It And Go. Im Not Sayin The E-Start Is Junk. I Personally Dont Like E-Start On Any Of My Quads Or Bikes. I Just Think The Kicker Is More Reliable.....No Dead Batterys, Just Maybe A Dead Leg After A Long Day. lol. I Dont Know Why Everyone Keeps Fighting Over The 04-05, or 06-07 Which Is Better BS. They All Require Regular Maintenence And The All Rip So I Would Say Pick Whats Available At The Best Price b/c The Color Is Whatever You Want To Make It. Just Take The $$$$$ You Save From The Deal And Turn It Colors. Ha Ha Im Not Being Mean Im Just Tired Of Readin Post Of People Arguing Which Is Better. Its A Honda Nuff Said.....Its Going To Rip.

06 the best bike i have ever been on... and no matta what people say they are very reliable and the short skirt piston and ti valve dont effect it unless u dont know how to maintain ur bike.. i have 100 hours on my 06 and everything internally is mint.

I can't wait until the race season officially starts to hear how Honda explains John running a 2005. This is going to hurt sales...I am not even sure how he can run a non-production quad. I thought that was part of the new rules...it must be in production. In my book, a 2005 is not in production even if you can still find a few dealers with them.
