my gf like hinted she wanted roses and chocolate but i kinda want to get her someone more original.

Im in nearly the same boat.... graduated in december, working full time now, my gf is still in school with one more semester left, then after we'll probably move in together. My advice before preposing definitely live together for a while, this is a good way to see if you fit together...

as for V-days gifts.... I like to do a little shopping at Victoria secrets.... its great cause you give her a gift, but it really is more for you! haha:devil:

I still do the dinner date thing though, its fun.

Most you guys cant pick out lingerie to save your lives! Id rather pick my own stuff out haha... theres a popular rock station for the Houston area that has a great morning show and they actually opened the phone lines for women to call in to say if they wanted lingerie or not for valentines...the majority did NOT!!!! They all said they would rather pick it out themselves...you guys must learn hahaha :p

What Im getting most likely... (were keeping it simple) probably some flowers, a stuffed animal, and dinner. Im fine with that, a free meal I cant complain :D

and i agree i think younger couples should move in together before getting married...its almost a must with how the world is these days. I have been living with my boyfriend for almost 9 months now and its just much better because we are doing good with the splitting bills and such... there will be a lot less stress when we get our own house just because we already know what to expect from each other and we are already used to our routine and who pays for what.

Like I said before its more of a gift for myself than her anyways:devil: Plus she would never just go out and buy any for herself anyways, so I must do the daunting task!:cool:

I thought about it ... then realized I didn't have 2 bulletproof vests ... so there went that idea .

I think she will much rather lay on a nice sandy beach in 85 degree weather and be at a resort where all the food and drinks are free for 7 days . :cool:

As far as the lingerie goes ... I've picked out lingerie as gifts for my girlfriend on her birthday , christmas , and many other "just because" occasions , and she has LOVED everything I've ever bought her . Advice for when you're buying stuff for your girlfriend , don't by the skimpiest outfit or just because you like it .... buy something that you think she'll enjoy and it'll be a big hit with her . :)

Don't take her to dinner make her dinner (and clean up too) , they love it. Flower arangement, candles etc.

As for l lingerie do what Quadstar said, don't go for the skimpiest. Go for what she likes. PJ's or sort.

Regarding popping the question. Remember that if for some reason the engagement is broken, the ring is a gift (it's a holiday). Any other day and it's a contract. Gifts you don't get back.
