atc shock

alright i snapped my rear axis shock and bent the shaft so i obviously need a new shock.i can get a stock one from an 85 trike but the rezzie line looks to be too short-just wondering if anybody knows if there is somewhere i can still mount the rezzie-the shock is cheap enough to get me riding again-any info would be great.

i think so...i ran one on a 250x that had frame mods

it will work, but, the line is too short, top mount needs to be grinded down(atc top mount is wider) and 85 was the only year to use a smaller diameter shock bottom bolt, I'm not sure how it will work, maybe the hole has to be drilled out alittle for a 86-89 bigger diameter bolt to fit. One thing that might be a concern is, its made for a lighter bike(about 40 lbs lighter). The valving might be off.

yeah i drilled the hole out for the larger bolt ...it will fit if you need to ride dont worry about the valving, the 250x i ran one on had a 350x motor and im no light weight and it was perfect
