just a couple of things I'm working on:

A YFZ450 motion pro throttle and cable will work for those wanting twist throttle, the factory routing is too short but rerouted is fine, also make sure you unplug the thumb throttle housing electric plug so it will run ( won't fire until you do- spent a few minutes trying to figure that one out LOL).

Also a 12 tooth front sprocket is available and the chain adjust will just barely bring the chain back tight if you shim the center chain adjust bolt so it pull it back far enough. I will probably be adding a few additional back teeth which will probably get me some adjustment back ( 22 inch back tires).

Anyone come up with a K + N part number yet? I took measurements but haven't had a chance to check K + N's web site yet.

HPD's triple rate spring kit doesn't appear to work, spring bodies are too thick. fox vs. rydefx.

Still working on jetting, probably start at 162 main or so to start, with no lid, K + n, and opened stock muffler. Waiting on what HMF does. So far the word is 5 extra horse with HMF.

The stock muffler on the 500 is the same as the 525. So the 500 slip on should work on the 525.

GROUND STRIKE how do those 22inch tires fit, any rubbing issues as I found a deal on some 22-11-9 bear claws and a pair of rims for cheap. also found out that stock sprokets are 14/38, if you put 22s on and use 13/39 sprokets you get the same overall gearing.

actually the heal guards will clear 22's. but they flex enough to rub with your weight on them. I cut mine which helped. You might try bending the outside tab forward where the fender and heal guards meet which would get you more clearance. I run 12 front 43 rear, which is very low gearing for the very tight and technical terrain we ride here. sidewinder will make the rears for you. I might have a 41 rear tooth for sale at some point.

actually HMF makes two different slip-ons: 500 and 525

There is a difference between the 500 and 525 the 525 header is smaller in dia.
