Has anyone installed the wiseco 13:1 high compression pistons? The boring will still be stock. If you have did you have any problems with valve interference with the stock cams? Also do you like them or would you recommend something else?

this is from my experience.the wiseco's seem to wear really fast.faster than the other brands.je's are ok but i have seen alot of them crack especially the higher comp. ones.the cp pistons have done really well for me and are built the best in my opinion.i dont believe you have any valve problems with any of the pistons with the stock cams

another thing about pistons is get the coating on them makes them last alot longer too.we pulled my cp and the cylinder is toast but the piston is like brand new yet(im sure the rings are toast though)

don't forget you have to run race fuel with a compression ratio above 12.5 to 1, my customers have been running cp pistons for three years now with no problems! they retail for $295, but you can buy them cheaper on ebay, i sell them for $237. i have a few customers running wiseco and j e, and we have had problems with both in the past! the cp full race piston is 13.75 to 1, coated skirts, and fuel ported.

Im running a power commander.
So when I change my pistons I will have to get it on a dyno again should I ell them im gonna run race fuel. I was looking for the cp pistons on ebay and could not find them.

if you install the piston you might want to install cams to. put race fuel in it and then program accordingly. i have installed the doebeck, trinity, and the yoshimura pim. if you are going to build your motor i recommend that you find a motor builder with expierence on ltr450.

as for fuel, we have ran both leaded and unleaded with no problems.

i do not recomend oxgenated fuel, as long as you don't leave it in the quad for more than a day or two with out running. it will stop up the fuel injection if you let it set to long.
