what length front shocks are yall running with the bolt on dual a arm conversion. I can get a pair of fox evols for a really good price off of a 450r so i would like ot know if i can use them.

That depends on which bolt on front end you use. We run a Pro-Fab front end from hetrick and it takes 16" shocks from a 400ex. There isn't a front end that I know of that you can use the 450r shock on. Some of the other bolt on front ends use a 13" shock. So you need to narrow that choice down.

i am trying ot find links and prices and specs online bu thaving a hard time of it. tryingo t figure out what each kit costs. and what parts each kits was designed to be used with. i need some hwelp thisis overwhelming

i bought the 2007 trx i just received my kit today from ebay and i bought all the parts from ebay all i need is the master cyclinder but i have 400 total in it know i think it will be done for 600 but im getting everything powder coated

i am just trying ot figure out which parts ot use. 300ex, 400 ex, or 450r. its all a little confusing.

the kit on ebay uses 300 ex thats what im going to use. i have seen a couple of them with this set up and there all very happy with it

Talk to Hetrick or Quadfast or Robbs Racing engines all good sources all good people with a ton of knowledge.

Don't make the mistake of trying to use adult shocks on a mini, you will be waaaaay to stiff, and it will eliminate any gain you get from installing the dual a-arm set-up. You should call Tom from kids on quads,(616-363-1215) they have shocks specificaly made for their kits +some of the best riders in the country use their stuff. I know national # 5 Brittney Snider used one of their kits for 2 years, and its still going strong.

I'm about to install the kit also and I'd like to use my old 400ex a-arms and shocks but I think trompen may be right. They are going to be way stiff and too long. I'll bet they will be nice and wide, but will raise the front end too high. Has anyone done this with 400ex shocks and a-arms yet? Even on the softest spring setting I'll bet that they are too stiff. There's a chance that the leverage the longer a-arms will put on them (they'll have a much more sever angle than on the 400) they will be soft but I'm not counting on it. I'll probably just mount them up and see how they look... then go buy the 300ex parts.
