i was wondering is it worth getting hot cams if i have stock bore and compression. i have a 03 400ex with the mods listed in my signature id would be getting the stage 2. thats for mid and top end power right? thanxs steve

yea, stage 2 is top end. it will be a difference,but to get the most out of it you will need a high compression piston and at least a slip on and good air filter.

i have a full system t4, jetted ,air filter, modified air box, curtis sparks adv timeing key, aND icat spark enhancer. do i have to take my timeing key out now? worried about 2 much heat. also does this ruin the realibly (sp) also what cam should i get if i want mid to top end power? thanxs

the stage 2 is great even for stock no loss of power anywere

where do i gain the power tho with stage 2? also do i have to remove my timeing key now?

I actually just did the same thing to my '05 400ex. It has stock piston and bore, I just rejetted and have a white bros. filter and pipe and I just installed the stage 2 hotcams. I honestly didnt notice a huge difference after installing the cam, you will mostly notice you have quite a bit more top end speed and slight mid range but not really any bottom end gain, but I do think its worth it for the small amount of money it costs, and another thing is that your engine will stay reliable also!!
