i was doing a super clean on my quad yesterday, and had it running in gear on a stand oiling the chain. something caught my eye, and the rotor is bent. every time it rotates there as a spot about 2 inches long that is bent to one side. there is prolly only 1mm. of deflection. it doesnt look as to be hurting anything, besides the caliper shifting every time it comes around. the caliper looks to mounted on a rubber bushing, is this correct. one more thing, how much is a new rotor?

Well...a stock rotor is like 180 bucks...but a braking rotor from marcums (not the wave one) is like 120....thats what i used when I fried mine.

I dont believe the calipers are mounted on rubber bushings. Mine arent on My R. There just bolted up the the spindels while the hubs and rotor slide on.
rotor's arent cheap

the calipers mounted on metal sleeves so it can slide back and forth, the rubber boots just keep the junk out of the slides..

if the rotor is moving enough to push the caliper back and forth it will most likely cause the pads to wear much faster..

shop around I would think that you can get your hands on a new rotor for about $100

get the back end of the bike in the air ,spin axle and watch where the rotor is bent, tap that spot with a hammer ,keep rotating axle and tapping till straight ,unless you are looking to spend the money for a new rotor.
