It depends on the type of riding you like to do. If you want to drag race and climb sand mountain, then you want the haulers straight paddle or another brand similar if you can't spend the money on haulers. If you like riding the bowls and something that handles a little better, then I like the ITP sand star or something similar.

I rode most of Glamis on razr2's...it was great fun, for drag racing you'll need some paddles. Sandstars are good all around tire.

Stock 400ex. Haulers are too much for an un-built 400ex. More isn't always better.

Rear: 20x10x8 7-paddle Skat-Trak Gliders on 0.125 8x8 rims. Or you can go with 20x10x10 on a 10x10 rim, but a larger sidewall floats better and hooks up better.

Front: 22x8x10 GBC Dune Tracker w/ 0.125 3:2 offset rims. Extra wide for good flotation. Flat edge of center blade to the outside.

I like Sand Stars and Sand Skate II's but Sand Sharks are a decent alternative at a good dollar savings. If you only rarely ride sand go that route.

Also the gliders are a good idea. On a stock 400ex the lighter the paddle the better you'll do because I have ridden one in the dunes since 1998 and can say that my Sand Skates or Sand Sharks on light douglas rims was a better combo than the heavier sand stars on ITP c-series rims.

Go light and save money!!

Even though everyone loves them, I hate my Sand stars. Everyone in my camp have trouble with them staying inflated because of the bead getting sand in them. My favorites are the sand skate II's.

Also air pressure is really important. 3 to 4 pounds is good.
