I bought this Polaris Trailblazer yesterday. It's a 2000...still has the original tires on it. A friend of mine gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. I know it's not really fast, but it's pretty fun, and is my first quad. If I get enough use out of it, I will pick up a new quad here in a couple years.

As for future plans, I might do a clutch kit, and maybe a pipe. Not sure yet, I might just leave it stock.

Congradulations on the new purchase. I had a 400 two stroke with a FMF pipe, Port and polish head, .080 big bore, and clutch kit, and that thing would run circles around my YFZ.. it was super nice for a while.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I had an idea last night.....how hard is a 400 swap on one of these? I could get a 400 or 500 prom a scrambler I am sure...would it be a direct swap? I know the scramblers are liquid cooled and mine is air, but could I bolt the radiator and everything right up? I think it'd be in sleeper mode with that swap.

This wouldn't happen for a year or two IF I did that. I eventually want to buy a 450.

if any thing i would try to put your trailblazer plastic on the scrambler. it would be a lot easier plus the scrambler would handle better. make sure you get the scrambler 400, the 500 is a four stroke so they would know whats up if you tried to pull it off;)

lol yeah that's true. I am a few years away from playing with it I think. Right now it's just a stock trail atv for me.

How do these do in sand? I usually hit Silver Lake in my truck yearly, woudn't mind taking a quad this time.

The 250 trail blazers were heavy(but so are all polarises)but with a simple clutch kit,it can turn it into a whole new machine. Its possible to get 40hp plus with a pipe and carb swap.I think Hotshoe and Aaen performance deal with polaris.Stock they are deceptively quick for a almost 500 pound quad, just dont expect to get the front end up though:D

Thanks for the reply. I actually got the fronts up about 2 feet off the ground. It carried them for about 15 feet, and it's stock. In april I am ordering the Ritters stage 1 kit (pipe, clutch kit, airfilter, and jets). Can't beat the deal either.

best thing to do on a trail blazer 250 is take the rubber pieces that sticks down in your air box out put the rubb vent into the metal cover and bolt it down ton's more torque
get a scrambler 400 pipe and it bolts right on head pipe to end pipe works great
2 up your frotn sproket
buy stock scrambler 400 reeds and make a reed cage for them
put a scramlber carb on
this can be done cheap and will make it a blast
when u rebuild port and polish some really helps it out
i used to run mine with 400's all day long
