I have recently decided to upgrade my bike (400ex) in hopes to someday try to race it... glad i decided to do the work now that winter is almost over, but oh well... heres my current setup:

11:1 Wiseco Piston (stock bore)
Hotcam Stage 1 cam
Sparks Flywheel Key
450r Front Shocks
Big Gun Quiet Race Full System
K&N Air Cleaner
Houser +2 A-arms
And some other misc. parts

Now I have been doing some research lately and now that Tucker Rocky sells JE and Elka, I still dont know 100% how I want to do it... Here's my plan to start building:

12:1 JE Piston (+2mm 416cc)
Hotcam Stage II cam (or i might stay with the stage I and save $130)
450r Carb
LRD Full System
CRF450 Cam Chain
Houser +2 A-arms
Lonestar +3 Axle
Magura Clutch
And send all three of my shocks to GT Thunder and get them all rebuilt, revalved and resprung

My hope is to try to race some MX... I've run a few tracks for practice, but never ran with the big boys, but Im hoping this setup will get me close to being competitive, or at least help me fake that im able to ride... Just let me know if you guys see any gaping holes in my build or if there's anything I can improve on... I'd like to do it for as little money as possible, but i know that just a wish... thanks guys
