That news video is awesome! I know that they wanted to ban pitbulls here in NJ a few years ago. and they also wanted to make it so if you had a rotty, sheperd, doberman or other breeds like that you had to take them for a walk in public with a muzzle. Those proposed laws got shut down so fast its not even funny. stuff like that is just plain ignorance and profiling no matter how you look at it.

This is great news, I wish they would do a video on Dobermans as well. My land lord give's us a hard time about mine but she's really the nicest dog in the world, Dobermans have come along way from the fierce dog created by Louis Doberman in the late 18 century. He was a German tax collector and he wanted a dog that would be loyal and protect him on his travels, so the doberman was created. They served as war dogs in the North Pacific, saving soldiers lives, protection dogs, police dogs, seeing eye dogs and even search and rescue dogs, yet people still want them banned. Today's Doberman is an affection, loving family dog which just as a pit bull people seem to just read the bad new's and not the good! I had the privilage of getting a male Pit bull puppy about 4 months ago and the land lord got wind of it from my neighbor's and he told us to get rid of it imediatly :( It was the nicest dog I've had. He was white with brown spot's he had one on his back that looked like the devil so we nick named him el daiblo :blah:

The sad part is, when my Doberman was a puppy the neighbors chocolate lab jumped their fence and grabed my dog around the neck and would not let go, the guy just stood there and I ended up having to punch his dog as hard as I could inbetween the eyes so it would let go of my dog, the dog would of killed my pup if I didnt. We had to take her to a Animal Hosptial and she had to get stiches. The land lord didn't do anything but you know if that pit puppy I had or even my doberman did that they would of been removed from my house.. It just goes to show you that any breed of dog can be nasty, the owner is the key in all dog behavior.

ya its pretty sad when Chihuahua & Pomeranian rate more vicious then a pit and a dob haha dont know why people are suck @$$ over it

I will vouce to this, my step sister has a Pomeranian and that thing is the nastyiest little dog ever, It jump's all over my Doberman, bites her and after awhile you'll see the fluff ball fly across the kitchen when t-bear's had enough :devil: :blah:

that is really sad, 2 of my friends have pit bulls, they are the nicest dogs, very obediant, friendly and not vicouis. One he lets his dog sit in front of the house, when he is working on his bike and such. The dog runs accros the street and plays with the kids, other dogs. My other friend, his dog plays with the neighborhood kids and is the best of a friend to his mini-pincher. Roxy, the pit bull, doesn't like to be treated rough, one of the kids was pulling her tail, ears and such, she crowled, the kid ran the his mother. She asked him about how the dog crowled at him, I was there also, both of us said the kid was harassing the dog, she was trying to get away, but the kid kept harassing the dog, so she growled. I saw it with my own eyes, the kid kept on the dog and she didn't want anything to do with the kid and tried to get away, What is dog to do????? The mother didn't let it go, she was gonna call animal control, but saw she was playing with more kids and so was the mini-pincher. With no sight of viciousness, roxy(pit bull) and rosie(mini) came once was told.

I had a quite vicouis dog, lapsa-aplsa/toy poddle mix, he was super vicouis, but didn't look it, but was great with the family. He was very protective. I had a incident with cops, my brother miss dialed the phone and 911 was dailed(accidentally), the cops came, my brother answered the door(he and firends were wear gothic clothing), I came over and told the cops, wait for a minute while I put the dog away, the young cops barged into the door, the dog, jumped up and grabed him on the thigh, not letting go. The cop pulled out his gun, I called the dog, he came, THE F###### COP WAS GONNA SHOOT MY DOG, AFTER HE WAS TOLD TO WAIT ONE MINUTE, FOR ME TO PUT THE DOG AWAY. A sergent was called, we told him the story, my mom was there at that moment also. The sergent asked the cop, the sergent told the cop right in-front of us, if the owner says to wait a minute while the dog is being put away, then you don't barge into the door, you sit there and once the dog is put away you then enter. The cop was told to leave, the sergent asked the stroy about the phone call, I was holding the dog, the sergent cme over and was petting my dog. the dog didn't want him to barge in, that was it. He was defending his area, simple. We used to walk the dog around the neighborhood, many times we told the kids to stay away from the dogs, yet the kids kept riidng their bikes inches from the dogs and harassing them(thinking it was fun!!!!), well the male dog growled and would have bit the kid, if I didn't step in. The mother came, we told her the whole thing and how we have been telling her son to keep themselves and bikes away from the dogs for weeks, the dog had enough. The mother changed her tone and scolded the kid, not more problems after that, all the kids made it a point to stay away from the dogs. How much is a dog supposed to take, weeks of kids harassing the dogs,despite being told many times, thinking it was fun, is gonna result in someting eventaully.

Those were the only intanses with a so-called vicouis animal that needed to be put down, all caused by human activitiy after being told numerous times, to stop it.

Most of your dog attacks aren't from the dog being vicouis, its from people not listening to the dogs, the dog had enough and bite/growls back. Where I ride people bring their dogs and about 1/2 are pit bulls, I know not to go near them, unless its ok with the owner, or the dog comes over to me. Its common sense. I now have 2 ****-tzu's, very gentle dogs, I wanted 2 pit bulls, but due to allergies my mom has, I couldn't get them. Animals require their due respect.

Good video. Pit bulls are great dogs if you give them lots of love and make them behave.My brother has a red nosed pit and when I go to his house it always greets me at the door and licks me in the face. He's a great dog, Very loving.

Another brainwashed person :rolleyes: The only people who BRAG about having a pitbull are the owners that make the dog's evil.. If you have ever taken the time to meet and talk to a TRUE loving caring dog owner you would come to find out that their dog is the most loving, caring and protecting dog you'll ever find.. No you'd rather come on here and be just like every other person and only belive what you see on the news.. Do you understand that the new's is ONE SIDED. You will never find a news report on a dog attack that involves either a pit, doberman or a rott that has something good to say or even what the child/person was doing to the dog to start with!

I'd enjoy to take you to my uncle's house. He has a 9 month old baby girl and 3 pit's and they care more about that baby then most people would. I've seen the dog's stay by her side and make sure she is allright. Hell I've seen all 3 pits laid out on the couch with my uncle and Oliva right by his side peaceful as can be.

I am not trying to pick a fight I just think it's really unfair people belive only half the story just like how some people belive ATV's kill people but its actually the riders, same concept!

my sister and her boyfriend just got a half pit half blacklab puppy and its an awnry little thing buts its still just a puppy. its an awesome dog though, and calms down when you want him to. its all black with a white x on his chest

Same here my sister has a pit and a 10 yo son and a almost 2 yo son and ill be messing around body slamming em and the dog will coem to the rescue haha one of the nicest dogs ive ever seen though

Pits are the best. I have a 2yr old pit and he is the nicest dog in the world. He wouldnt bite a thing if his life depended on it. Its all in how they are trained. Heres a pick of him when he was 10 months old.

yeah there are nice ones but then you have the moron from myspace who killed a cat with his pit bull....theres too many stupid people who own them and think they are "bad ***" and that ruins everything. They can be great dogs, but nowadays the breeding and bloodlines are so tainted due to the "bad asses" and everything is going towards that the breed should be banned. Sorry to say but in some ways I agree...just like some people shouldnt be allowed to drive cars...some people shouldnt be allowed to own a powerful pit bull...its just the morons who ruin it for everyone...

agree but not all of them are from bad bloodlines and not all are miss treated like you said its just the owners

its the stupid people posting pits kill and $h!t that makes me mad cus all dogs can kill just like all dogs can bite outta 100 dogs pits are 4th from the bottom as most likely to attack

When I was born my parents had a pitbull/boxer mix,They were a little concerned how the dog would react( as all new parents would with any dog).when they brought me home buffy laid down at my crib and wouldnt move.She was very protective of me and my family.And that was the ONLY time she was Ever mean is when she thought we were in danger. Any other time she was licking you to death.She was a VERY good and loving dog.If you have a dog that attacks its because you trained it to.and if your dog attacks someone you should go to jail not the dog it was only trying to please its master.

lol... the reporter in the video said "how can you tell if its a PitBull? You cant"....lol what a dumb @ss...........anyone who owns or been around a pit can tell the difference between a full blooded pit and a cur dog.....the cur dog is what mostly bites people..... if any dont know, thats a mixed breed. Best dogs in the world to own, the problem is the ghetto people get em and think there all bad walking em down the street or what-not and even fight em in there basements or make chain dogs out of em....ok sorry, no more rant..i just see it so much.....ok just to brag on my old dogs,
i had red nose pits and they won me nationals at weight pull competions, 64 pound dog pulling 4800 lbs on a sled track......that rocks, and she was a female...........:cool:

I don't like pitbulls.
I don't dislike pitbulls.

To me, a dog is a dog. A problem dog usually has a problem owner. It's not the dog's fault. Punish the owner, not the dog. If you're raising your dog to be a problem, deal with the negativeness it brings with it.

start with a pulling harness, get it used to it, then add weight...tire, window weights are good, ....never let them not be able to pull something, believe it or not that builds their confidence, give plenty of praise and command with a thoratory voice, some dogs nip at the handler when they first start...just break em with a stern NO! or I used tobasco sauce, they stop.......Ill tell you this theres nothing cooler than seeing your dog or anyones dog pulling thousands of pounds literaly inch by inch and there muscle bulging out from everywhere, theyll work and work to pull it..........pound per pound, hands down the strongest dogs in the world...........good luck
