Just bought it yesterday. What do ya think? And yes im a Ford man. The picture kinda sucks but it is frickin freezing outside so I snapped a couple and ran back in lol.

I think im gonna get a billet grill and different mirrors. Anybody have ideas for cosmetic changes?

i like it alot. you need to dress it up alittle more for the rims and that chrome 2 tone peice though. like a chrome exhaust tip, a grill, and some chrome mirror covers, or just buy some lincoln mark lt mirrors, door handle covers. i like how the rims arent obnoctiously sized either.

The rims are 20's, I didnt want to go any bigger then that. I do agree about the chrome though that would look sweet.

I lowered my last truck and it literally wore the truck apart. I was going through a new set of tires every year because it had toe out really bad. Probably not going to lower this one, its not worth the 1k in my opinion.

is it the v6 or v8?

Triton makes a 4.6 and 5.4L V8. Fortunatly this one is a 4.6L because I drive 30 miles to work every morning. All highway though.

nice ride, how many mpg do they claim? a buddy of mine from work has a full size chevy 4x4 extended cab and hes gettin like 20mpg, thats what i get in my ranger:( id like to go fullsize but i cant if its much under 20

yea...you could dress it up a bit, for sure. chrome door handles, chrome out the side windows, get a new grille like you said, and do something with the lights, im sure you could get a nice design to match the truck. its a real nice truck, but it could always get nicer...i still think the tires are too small for the truck, but thats just me...

let me tell you that the BILLET GRILL completely gives the truck a new look and it looks GREAT! one of the first things i would suggest!:devil:

I guess I'll be the only one here to say NO MORE CHROME. Chrome goes on exhaust tips and under the hood. Lose the ghetto foil on the side, debadge it, flowmasters, and tint the side windows. :D

i would get the grill and tint the windows but thats it for cosmetics. flowmasters,k&n air filter, a programable chip, and maybe a MILD cam. if you go to big then you will lose gas mileage.

thats a pretty nice truck. im lookin at an 04 like it, yellow an black though. im more of a 4x4 man though, i want something with a plow, and can pull its own.. well see if the ford can handle it.

Don't worry about cosmetics, get Flowmaster pipes, Cold air intake, a programmer, and that grill if you really want it.

An STX is the work version of the f150. It comes from the factory stripped down, but comes with the same options as an FX4 or XLT.

i would definately get chrome door handles, chrome mirrors, do something with the head and tail lights, get a nice set of chrome rims ( 24') imo, and maybe even a hood scoop, and a billet grill, and as for the back window, id get one of those 24" atvriders stickers.

If it was mine i would go for an exhaust, and cold-air intake for performance, and and on some foot-rails, grill, winsheild visor, and window + hood deflectors!!
