Ok I just put a set of LT +1 a-arms on and I eyeballed the front so what is the proper way to set it up and if any toe which is better in or out. All so for a mx set up do you want the front tires to stick out farther then the back or should they be even or should the back set out farther. Thanks for any info.

i've read that the rear end is suppose to be 1 in. wider than your front end

Cool cause after I put the a-arms on my front sets about 1inch out from the rear on a stock axle and I have a +2 +4 axle I just bought on the way so that will work out great.

i sit on bike and center handle bars and i just use a tape measure. and measure from center tread to center tread, about half way up the front tires. measure front side of front tires and rear side of front tires. and i set it a 1/8 inch tow in on front from rear side of front tires. i did this about once every two weeks it seems like before i got SS tie rods it works great for me. pulls straight and rolls free. hope this helps. :)

tie a string to your axle, wrap it around the rear tire and pull it all the way to the front of the quad about a foot past the front tires. Then tie it to like a jack stand or something. Then adjust the tie rod and measure the distance from the string the tire. Measure it on two spots. I usually go right were the bead is. Then just make it so that the front is about 1/8-1/4 more in. I like mine in a little bit. Its all preference.

Ck your tire pressures.
Ck all four tires before making adjustments.

I also make all suspension adjustments with riders wieght on the quad.

Good luck...

Yeah I checked all the tire pressuare. I use to work on a drag race team and use to have to dial in a 4 link but I used meters and gauges to do it with this is a litte more backyard and is taking more time then I intended. Plus its freaking cold and my hands are getting numb.

i set up my front end to these same specs, and found that -4.5 degrees is a whole lot.i'm not 100% sure but 4.5 degrees is for like old school or 250r's.that would really burn up your ball joint at that angle....

yeah 4.5 does sound like alot. Im sure that 1 to 2 degress - camber would be more than enough for mx and trail riding.

This is the correct way to set the front end up, or you can use a laser instead of the string.
