well today was fun

Well i went out ans started messing with my 250x and cleaned the carb out and charged the plug and i take it down the driveway and i pop it in Neutral and reach over to see if my chain is loose so i pull and the chain and my foot hit the shifter and pops it in gear and my hand gets pulled threw the sprocket so i pull it out and my index finger is cut off at the tip :eek2:

so i jump off and run inside and show my mom and she takes me to the ER so we wait and get called in 1 hour later and they put an IV in me and put a shot into my finger TWICE to put Lidocaine(numbing stuff) in it which hurt pretty bad... So then after its numb they scrub it with something. It was pretty freaky seeing my mangled finger being scrubbed and it not hurting. So they take X rays to see if the bone is ok and it checked out A ok. After that they wrap it up and give me some Dimeral to numb it some more (pretty sweet stuff :p ) So after that i had to go to a hand specialist to see if i needed surgery and was there for about 3 hours. Now im home typing this. They sent me home with lortab :devil:

WHAT A DAY! 6 hours in hospitals

dude if i would have did that on my hybrid nothing would have happened lol i have a rekluse, but seriously wait till that numbing stuff wears off and wakes you up later its gonna sting like a sum***** i had mine on a stand cleaning the chain jsut rolling it and my little brush got caught and pulled two of my fingers in the rear sprocket, instead of pausing and rolling them back out i yanked them out and well i lost the topend of one (finger nail and a chunk) and the other i took about a 1/3 of and inch of meat off the end.....its sucked for 3 weeks before i could stand to do normal stuff with that hand.

cant tell you how many times ive done that with a bike chain and that junk hurts, especially if you got a bulky shadow interlock chain. but damn gettin part of your finger cut off, that has to fkin hurt. sry to hear

no it was in neutral and stopped. Then i moved my leg over and checked the chain slack and my my foot pushed on the shifted just enough to pop it in gear

Man that sucks. I say what doesn't kill ya makes you stonger & SMARTER:D Kinna like when I hit this crazy steep berm on the top of 4th screamin. I busted the **** out of my ankle when I landed, but next time I'll think twice about it and take it easy or not hit it at all.

pics please. I did something similar with a go kart chain, my fingers actually went all the way around the top sprocket (front sprocket) it was all internal damage. To this day if I hit my middle finger wrong on my right hand it will hurt like a mofo for a minute! this was probably 10 years ago.

hey man, at least it wasnt the middle finger... i slammed mine in a door and the nail came off (nowhere as bad as your little calamity obviously) for a while after that everyone laughed at me when i flipped them off bc it looked funny.
