i have the chance to buy a rear 450r shock that is revalved bt gtt for xc riding and about 15-20 pounds more than what i weigh. the price is great and i could save a ton of money(would be great, im broke) if i went with it over sending out my current one. i ride alot of sandpit style stuff with whooped out trails, hills, and the occasional small jump. the thing is, i plan on getting a membership at the local mx track and start getting into that as well as still riding the pits and trails. would the xc revalve be ok riding on a track? im not a pro racer by any means but i do want to learn to jump and get comfortable with mx riding. i have a set of elkas that are mx valved that will be going on at the same time.....is it ok to have mx fronts and the revalved xc rear?

thanks alot

depends on if they are SSD or ZPS whatever u wanna call it if one is and the other isnt it will ride funny, but i guess if you havent ridden many other "matching" weight shocks you shouldnt tell much of a difference
