cam mod ?

I know how to do all the work to retard the exhaust cam...but the problem i have with slowing the timing is whether or not a slightly higher than 93 octaine fuel should be used? What are you guys thoughts on it. Thank you.

If you didn't need higher octane before I don't think you will need it after. It might change the static compression some but I haven't ever heard that discussed.

I have been told that you may need to do a bit of carb adjusting after doing this. Was told that it may pop and stuff in the lower-RPMs, if this occurs a simple needle clip adjustment may take care of it. I would also take a look at the plug after you run it for a while, b/c who knows if it would make it more lean/rich or not effect it. Good luck.
