I have a minor jetting problem, and was looking for a little advice. When I'm riding, and hit the throttle to do a wheelie or just hammer the gas down for any other reason, I get a little puff of black smoke. It only lasts for about a second (if that). I'm thinking this means that I'm running a bit rich in the mid range. Should I drop the needle (raise the clip), or would turning the fuel air screw in (clockwise) do the trick??? I've done plug checks, and everything looks fine. But I do get a very little bit of carbon build up on the tip of my exhaust. Since this doesn't happen at wide open throttle, I figure my main jet is fine. I don't backfire at all. Thanks in advance.

Where in the throttle range are you getting smoke? If it's the lower end it would be the fuel screw, a little after that is the needle.
