01 660 popping out exhaust

While riding at the dunes last weekend, my Raptor would pop out the exhaust after stabbing the throttle in second or third gear (lower rpms) could this be a lean mixture or a rich mixture, or is there something else going on?

Any ideas?

Usually a backfire, must've been a powerful one to shoot the exhaust out of it's clamp.

Check and make sure your carb boots are sealed well and don't have any holes/rips/tears.

does it pull to the top of the rpm range ?

Pull hard all the way through RPM's, runs great and smooth! Just pops a little, mostly in third gear at low RPM when I would stab it.

Could the carbs be out of sink? If so how do I adjust.

have you dont any changes to it lately ?
the temp changes in winter will lean it out some.

have you checked all the simple stuff, fresh gas, clean air filter etc.
