Stock Air Filter Cleaning

So In my service manual it says after you clean the filter to coat it with engine oil, is that just any old engine oil or is there a specific type. Also it say to put Lithium soap based grease on the mating surface to help seal it. What is that and where can I get it besides the dealer cause I am sure they will charge an arm and a leg.

i clean my foam filters with gas. it will take all the old oil off. then wash it in soap and water. let it air dry. then oil the filter with foam air filter oil. you do not want to use regular engine oil. you will be able to find lithium grease at most any parts stores.
