Yes, you can have a lot of thing's going on to effect the motor's abilitys to reach it's full potential or as most people call it " On the pipe or power band " You can have to much air and not enough fuel ( Lean ) which can blow a 2 stroke up because the fuel has the oil to keep everything lubed, not enough fuel and your playing with a loaded gun :p

Too much fuel and not enough air will load it up and it wont reach full potential either. But the worst you can do running a 2 stroke rich is flood the carb and foul a plug. When I tune my banshee i like to get it so it's rich and fine tune from there but leave it just a tad on the rich side to make up for weather changes and such. :chinese:

Both are usually caused by the jet sizes, clip placement on the needle and the fuel/air ratio. A fine tuned 2 stroke is one thing anyone can enjoy, even a die hard thumper rider :devious: :uhoh:
