View Full Version : I need a new clutch! What do you recommend?

I'm half way through my winter rebuild, frame is getting painted and motor is gone completely through, anyways i need a new complete clutch, what kinds do you recommend? I race and ride pretty hard, should i got back to stock? slipper clutch? hinson? thanks guys

Im also wondering a decent clutch to , Im thinking of the Rekluse clutch anyone have any input?

the fmf stm ceb slipperclutch.
it replaces the inner hub and pressure plate
mate that with a hinson basket, and plates and it is the ultimate sett up

Clutch plates and fibers I would get another set of stock - they have lasted longer than any other brand I have used. If you want to replace the basket - inner hub - or pressure plate you can't go wrong with hinson

definetly worth the money. It does not come with all new plates tho. Just a few new steel plates.

stock plates and fibers. Anything else go with Hinson

hey mat. if i were you id stick with stock. jon put that dirt digger in mine last year. what a pos. went back to stock and didnt have to many problems. but thats wat i would do. run stock plates and fibers.

I would get a set of heavy duty springs with those stock plates. I use the Barnett springs. If your replacing your basket, check out the Moose racing stuff. They are made by Hinson and the exact same thing but can be found for less $$.

thanks for all the input guys, i still havent decided what kind im going to to go with,im leaning torwards stock again. im not going to go with moose fibers. i burnt those up in 2 months:blah:
