Well, I have a 91' F-350 460, and I want to get a new exhaust for it. Now, theres this place close by that makes custom exhaust. Anyways, I'm getting duals, obviously, but my question is, what type of system should I run. Ive heard bad things about straight pipes, but my sparks pipe is practically a straight pipe. If I should run a muffler, what type, and what about catbacks? Sorry I'm so uninformed on this stuff, thats why I'm asking here.

It really depends on what you are looking for. I have a Flowmaster Super 40 on my Dodge Dakota with the 3.9l v6 and it sounds really good and is loud and deep outside the truck but not too loud, and its fairly loud inside the truck. My dad has a Flowtech Terminator on his Dodge Ram with the 5.9l V8 and it sounds really good too. Its not as loud as a Flowmaster on the outside but it is still way beefier than stock, but on the inside its only a hair louder than stock. The Flowtechs might get louder as the break in though because he has only had it on for a week.
There are many other options though....Magnaflow, Borla, Dynomax, etc. Or you could get a glasspack if you wanted to be really loud. I personally really like the sound of Flowmasters!

My F250 has strait pipes. I have a 5.4 330 though. I Think a 40 series muffler would sound great on your truck!

Here's mine...

Too late, I just ended up getting glass packs. Thanks anyways though. Its weird, its actually quieter inside the cab than before?? anyways, it sounds awesome, and is only loud if you really get on it. I go headers back for only 350 with labor, the 2 flowmasters cost that much by themselves, so I'm happy with my decision.
