ive made a lil mods on my 400ex. but i did what the people said to do...which is jetting. ive put the hmf s/o, and a uni airfilter. and ive got the rite jets. and the fuel/air screw turned out 2 1/2 turns. and my sparkblug was black...then i got a new 1 and it was totally white. should i get bigger jets, or just adjust the fuel/air screw? the jet sizes are in the sig. thanks

First do you have your lid on or off? Are the jets dyno? Are you at sea lvl? Whats the temp where you live right now. They are all factors when you are jetting. To plug check the main jet you need to be wot in like 4th gear or 5th and while holding it there pull in clutch and cut the motor.

my lid is on...ive got some holes in it to help for throttal responce on the track. but ive got some duct tape over those. No the jets are not dyno. i forgot what they are but i got them through hmf. but the main jet is good...just not the pilot jet. and its kinda cold here like 25- 60 rite now. but if its colder it should make it richer...and in the summer in should change it lean.

I see you have a 42 pilot that's good, with a UNI and a slip-on go with a 155 main needle in the 4 slot and the air screw out 3 turns. Remove the lid with this setup and you should be perfecto.

thats a good idea in all...but the needle isnt adjustable from 05 and on.

O, I did'nt notice you had a 05. Buy an adjustable one from an older model or the Dynojet needle. Sorry about the confusion.

its not the needle that i need. i tried the wot for the main and its perfect. so i think i mite need to go to a bigger pilot??

maybe try a 50 pilot, but I would think that would be way to rich. I can't belive that the 42 is'nt enough.

Buy an ajustable needle that's the problem your having. I'm positive
