my rear brake squeaks pretty bad, like a grinding squeak. figured this is normal, but just wondering if some of you guys have this problem. it's nothing major, just a bit annoying! anyway to help it?

Is your disk bent? you may hear regular squeaking, but not grinding. I had a little noise but I just ran the brake alittle and it went away.

Mine did the same thing....Just rode the brake for awhile..
Then it bent so I replaced it and the new never squeeled.

its not like a crazy grinding sound, but if you roll the bike slowly it sounds like a slight grind(friction), i probably only have about 10 hours on the bike, and it has done it since i bought it off the showroom, so im hoping that it goes away. its just very annoying when i move it around in the garage and when rolling around in first. :D

First check the disk, if thats fine then just work the brakes a little then they should be fine.

pretty sure the disk is fine but ill see, when cleaning I always remove debris from around the disk etc, i should have noticed i think but ya never know!

Take some brake clean that comes in a can and spray the whole disk down then wipe it off. It wouldnt hurt to spray the pads and the piston either. Goodluck, Nick.

do you still have the parking break hooked up? sometimes those tend to stick and wear out your brakes quicker thats my guess

mine will sqeak sometimes when if i havent rode it for a few days, then ill just drag the brakes like everyone says, but you may have a small peice of grave or something stuck on your pads or something
