QUICK QUICK QUICK computer Q

when i try to open a picture in paint to resize is and crap, it wont open the picture and says this...

(it says what file its in right here)
paint cannot read this file.
this is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported.

and ideas why? i can open paint. i tried to open the picture in paint, copy/paste, click and drag. idk it just wont work.

Are you saving it as one of those?

okay whatever i figured it out. i hate laptops. thanks 250ex13. on my normal pc it saves as a normal file. this saves it all weird.
