i was just wondering if anyone could give me a good estimate of how much horsepower im pulling out of my kfx??? engine is stock, has a full white bros carbon fiber exhaust, k&n filter with outerwear, no lid or snorkel, noss machine aluminum flange, white bros CDI, dyno jet kit...and i think thats it as far as those kinda things.

i was thinkin a stock kfx was around 33hp right? so i figured i'd have at least 40...maybe? i dunno really im just guessing

and how does that compare to the hp of mainly stock 450's???

just wondering because im deciding whether or not to keep my kfx or trade it for a closer to stock 450 or some kind of hybrid, but i figured my kfx could well out handle a stock 450 and if the hp is somewhere close i may as well just keep it.

thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Them mods won't give you that much of a gain in power.

yea i tried doin some research on like z400central and some more on here and figured it prolly wasnt quite that much after all, but if stock is even like 30 its gotta be close right? mid 30's or so? any ideas?

why does it matter? lol either you want a 450 or not, go out to a track and ride instead of asking us...lol

i dont know what your "semi stock" 450 is IMO a semi stock one is 45-47 hp

haha im just having a little trouble deciding ok, but i think i like the handling of my kfx to much anyways to trade it for more horsepower

and i really just kinda wondered how much i had, im real good at the riding part, just not great with all the numbers lol

it depends on how much money you have and are willing to spend, if u want to get a 450 to match your kfx get ready to spend some money, if not then stay with the kfx

Might be worth putting her on a dyno before dropping another 7G's to get a new 450. Then you'll know for sure

But that's just me.

yea i think i'll just hang on to the kfx...i trail/xc ride so handling and suspension is gonna help me out alot more than the extra hp...

Well I was doing some more research and Im almost positive my kfx has at least 75hp. With those kinda numbers Im sure Ill keep it instead of down grading to a weak 450. I don't think anything with less than 50hp could even clear my 167fter so Ill keep da kfx. I love workin on my tractor! O'doyle rulz!
