Are the head pipes on a 400ex made of stainless steel ? I have a 2003 and the head pipes have no rust on them. I see pics of other 03's with rusted head pipes what gives? is there a way i can keep them looking like steel and not rust in the future?

Also how much wattage does the stator put out? And how much does the atv draw when running with all lights on? I want to add more lights for a baja look but don't want to change the stator.

what's with no brake light? When riding in a group this sucks!

last question if a man was traveling from nantucket on his 400ex at 62mph and another man.................... ohh nevermind!

Headers are stainless steel.

Stator output is 147 watts @ 5000 rpm and is pretty much maxed out in stock form.

No brake light does suck but it can be modified.

I don't want to hear any stories about two men from Nantucket:scary:

I'll answer this for joex because I asked the same question to myself. Click on the search tab and type in brake light and narrow search down to 400ex their are a ton of posts on the subject.

i have this one, but he has since added a front lever option. i upgraded to that shortly after it was available...

i have to say that the install was very easy, very professional looking and you cannot tell that anything extra is added until you see the light come on or you look real close...
