hey gang i have a problem i need some help with. my rear brake pads wear out after about 10 hours:mad: my parking brake is not adjusted so it doesn't work. when i jack it up the wheels spin freely. any advice would be great because i can't afford to buy brakes after 2 rides. thanks...J

NM i think it might be cheap pads? got them from cycle gear

Not quite sure but yeh it could be pads. I was going through them like crazy with aftermarket pads. after buying some OEM pads theyve lasted 2 years

do you ride in mud or sand ? i was told that might be a problem too. where i ride has a good amount of mud and since it's florida sand is pretty much everywhere.

Do you have your parking brake setup still on? I heard that eats away brake pads quickly.

Just take your parking brake off.. You can just buy a cheap park brake-block off for like $10.

take off the parking brake...terrain plays a lot in the pad wear...mud and sand will eat pads a lot faster...you may also be riding with you foot gently resting on the pedal...

parking brake is hooked up but it doesn't work. i kept it adjusted loose. how would removing it help the pads? sorry for the questions but i'm kinda new to quads. thanks...J
