Fender cutting ideas

Ok so I finally decided I'm going to cut my front plastic. I'm getting tired of the big stock fenders in the way. I know there are infinite ways to do it, which is why I want some opinions or ideas.

Hey Rock, for me the best way was to tape up the whole front plastics where I intended to make the cuts with some wide masking tape. Then I drew a few designs on it with a sharpie until I found the one I liked, then made the cuts using my dremel tool. Hope this helps.

of course my opinion is gonna be biased because...well its my quad. haha but personally i like the way mine are cut better than pretty much all the others that i've seen.

you have to consider however that i ride xc and trails so i wanted a little more fender left on than mx riders but with a meaner look than stock...

That is a bad *** fender cut DR89, I wasnt even wanting to cut mine but now I do.

see if you can get a hold of caesy i think his name is 05kfx400 or something like that he used a doug gust front fender kit to cut his and now i have him but man they look great.

heres mine....
i used electrical tape to make the line i was going to cut moved the tape around to until i liked how it was ...used a jigsaw to cut it then after i sanded the edges and then touched it up with a propane torch to get that shiny look....

It took me a while to figure out how to mine to, but when i finally decided i just made the line with a sharpie, cut about 1/8 of an inch away and sanded it till it was perfect. heres a pic.

lol i think its funny how only one person out of all of them actually had their rear fenders cut... firebug very nice quad.

yeah I had alot of time in mine, prep is the key to getting paint to stick to these plastics. I used a cut off wheel, then a lot of sanding with a DA and alot of hand sanding.

after looking at them all i guess i prefer the look of Dr89.
i have not cut mine ,it has the stock (sleeper) look to it.

I like the fronts on racerboy808's and yellow400ex05's. They have a little more fender to them, I have another set I might do that with.
