ok, i have just signed up on ebay and i am not 100% sure what i am doing. it appears you get charged for selling items. now, do you get charged if you put something up forsale and it does not sell? or is it just if the item sells?

Yes depending on what you sell you are charged a certain amount. This amount depends on a few certain variables such as if you put a buy it now price, a reserve, or even if you add more pictures or certain Icons. Also if you go to sell a vehicle you will be charged a certain set price to list(usually like $40 bux or so). Also you are charged a fee when you sell it(forgot how much but its a certain percentage), If the item does not sell you will not be charged any selling fee's, but you will still be charged your listing fee(the fee you paid to initially list it). The plus side though is that you can relist this item for free as long as you list it the exact same way and use the "relist" button.
