Could it be greased to stop it??? And is it normal??? I think it is in the steering stem...
Most likely it is the upper steering stem bushing. Take it apart, re-grease her, and slap it back together. My 400 did that once, as have several of my buddies quads, and it is usually caused by a lack of grease in that area. And no, it isn't normal :D but it is easy to fix.

This happened to my cousins 400EX, it was extremely annoying!! We just took off the upper tem mount(2 bolts i think) filled it up with grease and it was all fixed
