mainly boging in 3rd

Hi i have an 05 450r and it seems to be maily bogging in mid to upper 3rd gear. I know some of you will say that it relates to throttle position not gear but i find it strange that it is mainly occuring in 3rd gear. It seems to run find well in first and second all the way through but in mid third it bogs. It seems to run well in a drag ie quickly through 3rd gear. When running along the beach in high 5th it seems to bog if held flat for awhile? Any suggestions i only have a slip on pro circuit t4, with a hole in the air box lid. The jets have been changed from stock but not exactly sure what number. Does it sound like i need to go down (leaner) in the main jet?

take your airbox lid off and see what it does and reply back.

ok i forgot to say i tried this and the response from stationary was no good. Just didnt want to go. Atm the low down response seems to be fine. But when i went over some whoops in 3rd it would splutter and not want to accelerate so i tried changing down a gear and accelerating and it was still bogging. To me it seems like its running rich. As it would take a few seconds to clear. But as i say i was able to do high speed beech running with only the occasionally splutter up high when held for extended period of time. Tomorrow i will check the main jet size and the needle clip setting.

more information needle is c55d elvation running at close to sealevel and temperatures 70 - 95

I'm thinking that I have a possible jetting issue with my new '07. I think that I may possibly have this same issue with mine....except it seems to do it in 5th.....Not sure....need to ride more to determine if it is actually happening or not.

Its funny you guys but I had the same problem with mine today. I can play here around my house run it wide open on a long straight and no problem but I went to a track today to ride and it would sputter on any up hill jump right after I landed and laid back into the throttle. Acted like I was out of gas but kept revving it and it would clear out.
