I am putting a 416 in my quad and want to know where I can buy a wiseco piston for it?

What compression ratio do I want if I run av gas durning dune season and 91 pump gas mixed with av durning the off season?

Will the piston come with everything I need to put the 416 in my quad except a top end gasket?

Thanks,
Greg

look in the ad section here. you need a 87mm piston.

and you will want a 10:1 or 11:1 , the latter needing some mix of race fuel. at least on hot days.

and you will need your cylinder bored to 87 mm

if your gunna mix with AV get an 11:1.

I would get a JE 416 Piston in 10.8:1 Comp. and run half pump and half race mixed. Also call up TC Racing and get a Cam while your putting a Piston in it.

The AV gas has additives in it so it will still work at high altitudes...Which means its not usually a good idea to run it.

I've got the 10.8, and run 93-112 octane, depending on what I can get my hands on. If you get the kit from Marcum's, you get all the gaskets you need.

I agree with all the above. I have a 11:1 and it runs fine with 94 octane. I ran race gas for a few months. I liked how it performs, but its expensive and it goes stale practically overnight.

Good luck with your choice of pistons and let us know how things work out for you.

AS LONG AS YOU KEEP YOUR RACE GAS IN A metal can and at a fairly constant temp it should last a long time

Gas a can go stall in a couple of days.

it can go stail yes, if left in a plastic container and exposed to constant changes in tempature. otherwise it will last a long time

Alright I am going to go ahead with the 10:1 compression and a tc cam. Thanks for all your help.
