HAS ANYONE RUN 110 RACING FUEL THROUGH THERE LTR 450 I WAS TOLD YOU CANT BECAUSE THE STUFF YOU BUY AT THE MOTORSPORTS STORES ARE LEADED IS THIS TRUE OR WHAT ABOUT OCTANE BOOSTERS?

i think that anyhting over 104 octane is leaded, but why would you wanna run 110 octane? unless your quad is extremely built, you dont need it

leaded is ok for your LTR.

98 Octane works best for me

Higher octane does NOT = more power!
Unless your motor is heavily modified and needs the extra octane, it is a total WASTE of money. Not to mention that the motor will actually run worse....

cool thanks i have a friend who said it would be better but i wasnt sure but he usally doesnt know what hes talking about half of the time

it may produce more power with 95 octane but thats just because its running leaner............

What about a 50/50 mix?

Higher octane won't make it run leaner unless you're using oxygenated fuel.

So would 110 and 91 mix be ok?

i was given some 110 octane and i was told to mix it half and half with premium, and it will work just finr, but if your gonna mix it, why dont you just buy 100 octane?

with like 92 there is a good chance it will run to hot cause of pre detonation

Why would you want to go with higher octane on a stock engine.

It does absolutely nothing for you. It could actually slow you down.

Just stick with premium pump gas and you'll be fine. I would however recommend filtering any fuel out of a gas pump as it is very dirty. Also clean out your fuel cans as they tend to collect a lot of dirt also. It doesn't take much to clog the filter on the LTR.

Well Running 110 octane in your motor will only hurt you, 110 burns slower than pump gas. If you dont have higher compresion and the timing set corectly for the gas its a waist of money and gas. the 110 dose burn cooler than pump gas...

Higher octane fuel has nothing to do with engine modification, and everything to do with Compression, which can be achieved by Cams, Cylinder decking, or a piston.

You can run an oxygenated Race Fuel that will actually give you a measurable power gain. The oxygenators in these fuels can be very corrosive and destructive to the rubber, and plastic parts in your LT-R450s already delicate fuel system.

While we are talking about fuel, you should always filter your fuel with This: http://cernicsracing.com/images/fuelfunnelicon.jpg

I have found just as much debris in sealed cans of race gas as I have found in pump gas. So remember kids. Use protection every time.

you cant use super high octane fuel in a fuel injected quad

100 different answers and only a few intelligible ones.
the owners manual clearly states that you should not run any higher than 93 octane on a stock engine because it will run lean and you will lose power. pretty black and white right there. 110 would be a waste of money.
also, cam's do not make higher compression, only a decrease in volume of the combustion chamber will do that, hence higher compression pistons or shaving/decking the head
the major reason i will only be porting my head and doing cams is so i don't bump up the compression and have to run race gas
