need pc wize for wireless

well my girlfriend got a laptop and we just got a wireless router but we cant connect 2 the internet on her computer any help thanks

this might b obvious but does it have a built in wireless.. if so make sure the switch is turned on... and did u make ur router secured??

ya we read the directoins and ya the lap top came with wireless we installed the liinksye w.e it is and we still no have no connectoin how do you switch it on ?

it shows we have an excellent connection 2 the internet but when we go internet explorer it want load same iwth this site and google and myspace and all other site s we tried im lost? reading the instructions didnt help it just went over the basic stuff
