Which is better a full system or slip on? Is it power or the sound

Where do you want your power at? Mid to top, or Bottom to mid. Most slip-ons are bottom end pipes, some full systems are.

I would only get a full system if you plan on doing heavy motor mods soon.

Well, depends on what pipe you're using, the stock pipe is really free-flowing. So a full system is not needed. Some can be quieter, some can be louder.
