Grinding teeth

Who here grinds there teeth at night when they sleep. I do. I bought on eof those night guard things at CVS and I bit the dam thing right in half!!!:eek2:

My four year old son grinds his teeth in his sleep. It drives me nuts.

go to the doc. sounds like u may have TMJ i got it and they gave me a retaner to stop me from grind my mouth off:p

i used to grind my teeth
if you push yourself during the day and use most of your energy you wont grind your teeth any more
thats what worked for me

well here goes and it sounds stupid..........put a small rag in your mouth at night. when u go to sleep and start chomping u will taste the bitter rag and wake up. pretty soon u will get sick of it and stop the teeth grinding all together ( my granny told me that ). it works because i had that problem also.:cool:

what causes you to grind teeth? my dentist asked me if i grind my teeth at night. i had no clue what she was talking about so i said no.:ermm:

what happens when u inhle the rag and suffocate

not a good idea imo


i grind at night i have to go get that cover stuff they put over your teeth to protect them (dont know wat its called) alot more than my brother who doesnt do it

i hear ya i used to grind them so hard my jaw would dislocate. and then id wake up. it eventually went way...

i do it on pourpose to get back at my wife when she irritates me. i bite my fingernails too with grinding. id talk to your dentist, for all the money they charge they should have a good idea what to do.

i used to do it when i was younger. i must have slowly stopped doing it cuz till this thread came up i forgot i did it.:p

i used to when i was like 5...my grandpa said he was gonna shove a huge spring in my mouth so i wont be able to shut it and grind my teeth then.. lol. i think after he said that is about when i stopped..? lol

I used to grind my teeth bad at night when I slept. I went to the dentist and he said its time for my wisdom teeth to be yanked - that is why I was grinding my teeth. Well, I had them pulled and I might grind my teeth once every couple months now (at the most)... it used to be EVERY night. He said it was my body's natural reaction to try and get rid of those teeth coming in wrong.
