you'll need the sirius radio, antenna, and subscription. sucks, huh? all the head unit does is controll the sirius receiver. at least that is the way all of them that i have seen are. personally, i like the stand alone kind. i have one in my truck and they display so much more than the head unit will.

just buy a whole unit for like 100 bucks, comes with everything, dont buy no adaptors or any bs, its easier to control it from the unit itself compared to ur head unit

there are, or were a few alpine head units that all you needed was an antenna, the receiver was built in. but for most you ned the receiver, antenna and the subscription. i have sirius and i like it a lot. one isnt really better than the other. i personally like sirius a bit better because of the programming but that is my opinion

No with both you need the reciever and antenna. They are about the same price. Actually XM was more because I needed special adapters even though it was already "XM Ready." I can safely say after having both Sirius is better. The reciever is about $100. I would suggest buying it off ebay. Thats where is found my reciever and it comes with the antenna.

I have had Sirius for about 2 years and love it.Get the unit from Sirius it is easy to install. With the Sirius unit you can also play it in your house and rewind, pause and on the S50 you can record like an IPOD.

I don't think he wants to spend that much.

You will not be dissapointed with sirius. But when you get in another car you won't be able to stand all of the commericals on regular radio. Any Bubba the love sponge fans on here!!!!!!!!!!
