drive sprocket??

i have been hearing a wierd noise down by my case saver for a while but i thought it was a loose chain. today however i decided to grab the sprocket and there is alot of forward/backward movement. ANy ideas? bad bearing? i think the seal is bad also cuz it looked alittle oily. but it was hard to see cuz it was covered with snow and ice. thanks for any info or replies. is it pretty hard to change out if it is the bearing?

just a thought, you might check your axle bearings. mine just went out and it sounded like it was coming from around the tranny.
