I put this setup on my son's Trx90, so far it has been good. I put some Harley Davidson Sportster shocks on front and a 300ex on the rear. The sportster shocks are soft enough for my 6 year old. As far as strength, my 16 year old likes to steal the Trx90 and ride the snot out of it, it has held up to his abuse.

The are several different heights in which you can mount the shocks, when I first got the kit I ran it for a weekend with the stock shocks, the are about 9 1/2 inches eye to eye, the HD shocks are 13 eye to eye. You should be able to use most shocks between 9 1/2 to 13 inches. I would just look for one that works with the weight of the rider. There are plenty of people that will swear by Elkas and Works shocks, they obviously have alot more money than I do. I got the HD shocks off Ebay for less than $50, they were in new condition and are adjustable. It took me about 4 hours to install the entire kit, get a couple of 14mm wrenches and sockets together. I used spacers in the rear. My 16 year old is about 150lbs, he has jumped the Trx 90 with this kit with no ill effects. Good luck.
