89 update kit???

Anyone know how long the rod is in the 89 update kit?

because i have no idea if the motor i have has the correct clutch set up in it..

87-89 long rod length 130.3mm center eye to center eye

85-86 short rod length 125.3mm center eye to center eye

im assuming he's referring to the pushrod of the 89 clutch kit matt. :)

I think all those rods are the same for the clutch, just the end parts are different.

according to the parts catalog the 86-89's are the same. the 87-88 are the same.

See i thought they were the same as well, i have a 89 motor and 2 86 motors and all the rods were the same, however as someone said the 89 has the pancake bearing and the others dont. I bought a hinson pressure plate in the instructions it reads that you must use the 89 update kit honda part # 06220-hb9-305. I asked the guy at Hinson, How do I know if my motor has this already? and he said the push rod is longer in the 89 kit....

so now im confused...
