i have 98 300ex and i am replacing the axle with a lonestar and a new carrier with a grease zerk-my question is do i have to remove the carrier and axle every time i want to grease it? because the carriers grease zerk is in the swing arm?

I'm afraid so....but, I have heard of people drilling a hole in the back of the swingarm, that way they have access to it...

how often should i take it apart to greese it? i usually ride 1-2 time a month-i ride hard those times

Why dont they put the zerk in the swingarm and just run a goove around the carrier with hole to let the grease in?

Ahh maybe too easy or any ideas?
