just picked up a bone stock 99 400 put a set of holeshots on it 4ply in the front 5psi and 6ply in the rear 4.5psi havent fooled with the shocks yet but when hillclimbing or just running fast the thing just bounces around way to much so much on hills it throws me off course:confused: how to stop the bouncing around btw i am picking up a 14t sproket to try out but is it worth going up in the rear also trails to tight care less about the top end

Try taking some rebound out of the rear shock.

if its the front bouncing your shocks could be toast. I had the same problem on my 04 400ex, couldnt keep the front end down. Replaced shocks was good to go.

I had the same problem when I installed my new wheels and it turned out to be bent rear hubs, both of 'em. Check those hubs!

Check your tire pressures, check your hubs. The best thing to do is get some 450r front shocks and send your rear to GTThunder. I just got mine back and it is more than a night and day difference in the ride quality.

Is it possible to have a flat spot on the tire?

yeah, maybe if you locked up your rears while doing 70 on pavement and skidded to a stop, lol. Your problem is most likely your rear shock. Make sure it's adjusted properly to minimize wheel hop. Try stiffening up your compression a little so it cannot bounce up as easily.

I'd guess its your suspension.

The stock suspension is pretty weak.
