View Full Version : Over heating!! HELP

I got a temp gauge on my radiator hose and ever since i went riding the other day its been over heating getting up to about 250 plus degrees and then it dies on me. Whats wrong>?

have u checked to make sure the guage is working properly or if it is cloged up or anything?

Whats wrong>? is your fan running? your motor doesnt lock up once it dies does it. when it dies can you turn the motor over? What year bike?

check your engine coolant temperature sensor. (ETC) the wires may had come off or maby its broke.

I havnt put a temp sensor on, is it inline ? maybe backwards ?
did you do any other mods ?

its an 05 - i just have to wait for it to cool down for it to start back up and once it dies i can turn it over it just dont fire up.. off the top of my head im not sure if the fan is kicking in.. i will check and early i noticed (in the summer) the fan kicks on at 200 degrees and it use to be fine i dont know what happed. I will check those wires too <posting this for foxracer37 hes here at my house>
